ICD-10 code changes for FY2027

Every code added, deleted or revised for FY2027, from the official CDC and CMS addenda files. The FY2027 code sets took effect October 1, 2026: deleted codes are not valid for dates of service on or after that date, and the new codes are required where they describe the diagnosis or procedure more specifically. This site's data is already the FY2027 set, so a code you cannot find here may be one of the deleted ones below.

In total: ICD-10-CM added 190 codes, deleted 30 and revised 4 descriptions; ICD-10-PCS added 101 codes, deleted 38 and revised 3. The pattern to check in your own templates and favorites: most deletions are a parent code replaced by more specific children (cardiomyopathy, platelet defects and postprocedural hypoglycemia all split this year), so a deleted code usually has a new, more specific successor.
